Notices, polls and a helpdesk for the whole society

A chat group loses the notice under a hundred good-morning messages. UrbanGate gives the committee a place to announce, to ask, and to answer, where every resident sees it.

What it does

Announce, ask, and answer

  • Notices reach every resident in the app, and older notices stay in one place to read again.
  • Polls let the society vote on a question and show results as people answer.
  • Complaints and helpdesk requests are raised by residents, answered by the committee and tracked until they are closed.
  • Emergency numbers for police, fire, ambulance and the society's own contacts, in one list.
  • Call security. The society's guards are listed on the dashboard, one tap to call.

In practice

What a committee does with it

Water supply tomorrow 10 to 2

One notice, every resident, no forwarding. New residents see the older notices too.

Should we repaint the gate?

A poll with the options, open until the date you choose, with results the whole society can see.

Lift on B wing is stuck

A resident raises it with a photo. The committee replies, assigns it, and closes it when the lift is fixed. Nothing is lost in a chat.

How a complaint moves

Raised, answered, closed

A resident raises it

Picks a category, describes the problem and adds a photo if that helps.

The committee sees it

On the office app or the web panel, with every open request in one list.

It is answered

The committee replies in the thread, and the resident is notified.

It is closed

When it is fixed, it is marked closed and stays in the history for the next committee.

Questions

About notices, polls and helpdesk

Who can publish a notice?

Committee members with the right permission, from the office app or the web panel. Residents read notices; they do not publish them.

Can residents see who voted in a poll?

Residents see the results as counts. The committee runs the poll and decides when it closes.

Do residents still need the society's chat group?

That is up to the society. Official notices, votes and complaints live in UrbanGate, where they are not lost and where new residents can find them.
