Guard tasks and SOP alarms: routine jobs done on time, with proof

Switching the water pump off, closing a gate, turning off the garden lights. The society office sets the task once, and UrbanGate makes sure a guard notices it every single day.

What it does

A standard operating procedure that cannot be forgotten

  • Set a time and days. Every day, or only the weekdays you choose, for each task.
  • Its own alarm sound, different from SOS, so guards know what is ringing without looking.
  • Rings until done. One guard marks it done and it stops for everyone. If nobody does, it repeats and the office is told.
  • A run history for every task: done, by whom, at what time, or missed.
  • Managed by the committee from the office app or the web panel, with a permission just for guard tasks.

How it works

Set once, done every day

The office adds a task

A name, a time and the days it applies. "Water pump off, 10:00 pm, every day."

The guards are rung

At that time, the phones of the guards on duty ring with the task alarm, full screen.

One guard marks it done

The alarm stops for everyone and the run is recorded with the guard's name and the time.

Missed tasks are reported

If nobody marks it done, the alarm repeats and the office is informed. The miss stays in the history.

What societies use it for

Typical guard tasks

Water pump on and off

The most common one. A pump left running overnight is wasted power and an overflowing tank.

Gate check at night

A reminder to walk to the second gate and confirm it is locked, with the time recorded.

Lights and common areas

Garden and corridor lights off in the morning, the clubhouse locked at closing time.

Questions

About guard tasks

Does every guard get the alarm?

Every guard of the society is rung, and the first one to mark the task done stops it for the others.

What happens if nobody marks it done?

The alarm repeats, and the society office is told that the task was missed. The miss is kept in the run history.

Can a task run only on some days?

Yes. Each task has a time and a set of weekdays, so a task can run on weekdays only, or on one day a week.

Who can add or change tasks?

Committee members with the guard-task permission, from the office app or the web panel. Guards can only mark a task done.
