- UrbanGate is a mobile app and web panel for apartment societies and gated communities in India.
- It has three experiences in the mobile app: residents, security guards and the society office (committee). The society office also has a web panel.
- A visitor's approval request rings on the resident's phone like a call, even when the phone is locked.
- An SOS raised by a resident rings every guard of that society and the committee members who handle SOS.
- Society offices can set guard tasks at fixed times; the guards' phones ring until one of them marks the task done.
- Maintenance is billed per flat for 1 to 12 months at a time; only the flat's owner pays; the office approves each payment before it counts.
- Every approved payment gets its own PDF receipt with a number, the months it was adjusted against and the amount still due.
- UrbanGate does not process online payments: the society records cash and UPI payments that its owners report and the office approves.
- UrbanGate does not read the phone's GPS location.
- Sign-in is by mobile number and a one-time code sent by SMS; there are no passwords.
- The Android and iOS apps are coming soon.
- UrbanGate costs ₹11,000 per society for 12 months, with 3 months free on the first subscription, so it runs for 15 months. One price covers every resident, guard and committee member, every app and the web panel; there are no per-flat charges and no payment gateway fees.
